Dwayne Keith Tungate

   Dwayne Keith Tungate, age 59 of LaBelle, MO, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at his residence in LaBelle.

He was born on January 10, 1954, in Quincy, IL the son of Glenn Leon and Mabel Joanne Hirsch Tungate.

Surviving are his special friend Kim Heimer of LaBelle, MO, four children, Patra Nixon of LaBelle, MO, Carmen Tungate and fiancée Jamie Greening of Ashland, MO, Kisha Tungate of Colorado Springs, CO, and Chance Tungate of Edina, MO, one brother Jeff Tungate of West Point, IA, one sister Glenna Ford of Columbia, IL, six grandchildren, Christian Dade, Andre Nixon, Payton Nixon, Tre Clay, Myriah Williams, and MaKenna Williams and one great grandchild Christian Dade, Jr.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister Tina Kay Tungate.

Dwayne was a graduate of Highland High School Class of 1972.  He resided in the LaBelle area all his life where he was engaged in farming.  In his earlier years he enjoyed bowling and playing softball.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and spending time with family and friends.

Dwayne’s wishes were to be cremated.  Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013, in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO with family receiving friends from 5 p.m. till time of services at 6 p.m.

Reverend Charles Sharpe officiated the services.  Honorary bearers were Wayne Rudd, Keith Strange, Darrell Rudd, Donnie Zahn, Randy Michel, David Michel, Robbie Walters, Jeffrey Hamilton and Rodney Freeman.

Memorials in memory of Dwayne Keith Tungate are suggested to the “Dwayne K. Tungate Memorial Fund” to be designated at a later date.  Memorials may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, MO, 63447.
