On Sunday afternoon, April 27, 2014, at approximately 3:00 p.m. in western Knox County, approximately two miles north of Hurdland, a machine shed was destroyed during a severe thunderstorm. The shed contained farm equipment and was blown completely down.

Several pieces of metal from the structure were twisted and strewn across a field north of where the building stood.

The damaged machine shed is located on the Vansickle farm.

Also on the property a tree was broken nearly in half, a hunting blind was destroyed and other items on the farm were shifted and moved by the storm.

More information will be released in the April 30, 2014, issue of The Edina Sentinel.
