Update: Death Investigation Ruled Suicide

According to the Public Information Officer for the Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Brent Bernhardt, the death investigation in Hurdland has been ruled a suicide.

According to the Public Information Officer for the Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Brent Bernhardt, MSHP is currently conducting a death investigation in Hurdland.

According to a credible source, the person being transported by helicopter from Hurdland this morning was pronounced deceased at the hospital in Macon, Missouri. The identity of that person has not been released to the public.

Details concerning the death investigation are not being released by MSHP at this time.

The Edina Sentinel has received unconfirmed reports that there has been a shooting in Hurdland, MO, involving one person.

It is believed that at approximately 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014, local police and ambulances responded to a home on West Gardner Street, Highway 6, in Hurdland.

MSHP Troopers Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Knox County Sheriff and Knox County Ambulance District ambulances were seen at a residence on the east edge of town.

A helicopter was seen taking off from a field southeast of the residence at approximately 10:00 9:00 a.m.
