Carrie M. Mohr, age 72, of Keokuk, Iowa, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 with her family by her side.

Carrie was born April 12, 1942 in Clark County, MO, the only child of Paul and Ida Mae Kirchner Stutz.

She graduated from Kahoka High School in 1959 and shortly afterwards on May 31, 1959, was united in marriage to Harlan W. Mohr.

Survivors include her husband, Harlan, of the home; two daughters, Brenda Stice of Keokuk, IA and Catherine Toon of Bloomington, IL; two granddaughters, Carrie Moore and her husband, Christopher, of Houston, TX and Lindsey Loy of Iowa City, IA; two great grandchildren, Charlotte Loy and Gage Moore; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty Jean Mohr of Kahoka, MO, Janet and Francis Parsons and Mary Morehouse, all of Wayland, MO;
as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

While Carrie was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Kerr Fabricators in Keokuk, first and foremost she was a housewife. She enjoyed caring for her home and family, especially cooking and sewing. She also enjoyed yard sales and visiting their home in Arkansas. Her greatest enjoyment came from her grandkids and great grandkids.

Private services were held Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Dixie Laube officiating. Special music was “Amazing Grace”.

Pallbearers were Mark Gilmore, Chris Moore, Wayne Moore and Ron Brewer.

Burial wsd in the Kahoka Cemetery. There was no visitation.

Memorials may be made to Barnes Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.
