Raymond Novinger

Raymond Novinger, age 92, of Shelbyville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2015, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
Born November 19, 1922, on a farm in Adair County, Missouri, Raymond was the son of Issac and Fannie Eitel Novinger. On August 3, 1973, Raymond united in marriage with Aileen Smith at Kirksville, Missouri.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Aileen, three children, Michael Novinger and wife, Zaida of Shelbyville, Missouri, Todd Novinger and wife, Lorie of Mt. Home, Idaho, and Reva Novinger of Edina, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Dusten Novinger, Tenille Hart, Natoshia Rogers, Ashley Farer, Michaele Novinger, Jessica Risher and Angel Perez; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Gail Novinger and wife Mary of Kirksville, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Frank, Roy, Harry and Murl Novinger, and two sisters, Lela Waddil and Reta Walker. Raymond was a graduate of Kirksville High School and was a Christian by faith. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. His lifelong profession was farming. He loved his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri, on Monday, June 8, 2015, with burial in Bethel Zion Cemetery near Bethel, Missouri. Memorials may be made in memory of Raymond Novinger to the American Heart Association.
