Wyaconda Father Shoots Son After Argument

On July 11, 2015, at approximately 1550 hours, Max Eugene Kearns, Age 65, of Wyaconda, Clark County, Missouri and his son, Eric Kearns, Age 39, of Liberty, Illinois, became involved in a verbal argument with one another. During the argument, Max Kearns shot Eric Kearns with a 20 gauge shotgun. As a result of the gunshot, Eric Kearns sustained serious physical injuries.

After an investigation of the incident, by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s, Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Max Kearns was charged with Domestic Assault – First Degree, a Class A Felony and is being held at the Clark County Detention Center, on a $75,000.00 Cash Only Bond.
