ARLENE WHITLATCH

Mrs. Arlene Whitlatch, 88 of Steffenville, Missouri, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 2:38 a.m., at her home, near Steffenville.

The daughter of William N. and Edna A. (Groves) Clark was born on November 19, 1926 at Cowden, Illinois.

Arlene Clark united in marriage with John Robert Whitlatch on June 5, 1949, at Maroa, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on November 1, 2010.

Arlene was a member of the Steffenville Christian Church and the Steffenville Farmerettes. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and working on her farm and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Whitlatch of Steffenville, Missouri, and Kent Whitlatch and his wife, Phyllis of Steffenville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Austin Whitlatch and his wife, Beth, of Lakewood, Colorado, Angie Seals and her husband, Troy, of Lewistown, Missouri, and Alex Whitlatch of Lakewood, Colorado; a sister, Mrs. Mary Allgood, of Blue Mound, Illinois; and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Friday August 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown with Pastor Ted Middleton officiating.  Music will be provided by Mrs. Evelyn Scifres.

Burial will be in the Steffenville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m., at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Mo.

Memorials may be made to the Steffenville Cemetery Association.

Pallbearers will be Austin Whitlatch, Alex Whitlatch, Troy Seals, Bill Knoche, Harry Scifres and Larry Henderson.
