Arment Makes Plea Deal In Counterfeit Money Case

According to court documents, on Monday, August 17, 2015, Chad Arment, 37, of Columbia, Missouri, a Knox County native, plead guilty to three Class C felony counts of forgery, for passing and trying to pass counterfeit hundred dollar bills, and one misdemeanor charge of theft in Lafayette County Circuit Court.
Arment’s was granted five years of court supervised probation by Judge Dennis Allen Rolf on a suspended execution of sentence of 5 years for each felony charge.
If Arment’s probation is revoked he faces 15 years in prison.
On the theft charge, Arment was sentenced to 30 days of shock incarceration at the Lafayette County Jail with credit for time served. He was also granted a work release from jail.
Arment has also been ordered to pay restitution and a fine of $1,000.
