HIGHLAND LADY COUGAR SOFTBALL TEAM CELEBRATES SENIOR NIGHT

It was beautiful Thursday evening, October 1, 2015 as the Highland Cougar fans celebrated the careers of four seniors on the softball field. Dana Flanagan #14, Autumn Florea #15, Amber Garner #1, and Katie Harvey #7 were showered with applause for their seasons of play as Highland Lady Cougars.
A long standing tradition found the four seniors passing through an archway of ball bats held high to t
he pitcher’s mound to greet their parents and Lady Cougar Softball Coach Paul Scifres.
Teammates presented the HHS seniors with a long stemmed yellow rose, a long stemmed leather softball rose and gift bags. KC Eagle seniors were presented with a long stemmed softball rose.
HHS played against the Knox County Lady Eagles, whose Seniors were also recognized, including Gabby Shahan #20, Madi Yokum #26, Sydney Morrow #31 and Manager Shane Clary.
Senior cousins from the HHS Lady Cougar Autumn Florea and Knox County Eagle Shane Clary shared the night of recognition as did staff, cousins HHS Coach Paul Scifres and KCR-I Athletic Director Matt Rayl.
