Hobart Gene Gray

Hobart Gene Gray, 80, of Kahoka, Missouri passed away at 1:05 AM, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Kahoka, Missouri.
Hobart was born on February 3, 1935 in Unionville, Missouri the son of Theodore and Grace Lucile Hymes Gray. He married Mary R. Weber on July 3, 1953 in Keokuk, Iowa. She survives.
Hobart spent 62 years living in Keokuk, Iowa. He worked with Steel Casting, Foote Mineral, Mississippi River Blending and 10 years with Ketchum Implement. Hobart liked to draw cartoon characters, fix things, fishing, camping, playing cards and board games.
Hobart is survived by his wife Mary Gray of Keokuk, Iowa, five children: Shirley (Randy) Malone of Keokuk, Iowa; Connie (Thomas) Barnes of Kahoka, Missouri; Joe (Nina) Gray; Sandra (Ron) Ash of Kahoka, Missouri and Teresa Jefferson of Keokuk, Iowa; one sister: Erma (James) Norton of Columbia, Missouri, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Hobart was preceded in death by his parents and one great grandson Keaton Barnes.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street, with Pastor John Curtis officiating.
Visitation will be before the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, November 1, 2015 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center, 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk, Iowa.
