David Matthew Deatrick, infant son of Michael and Honorah Stewart Deatrick, was born Sunday, February 14, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford, IL and shortly thereafter was received in the hands of his Lord and Savior and by his brother, Lucas Matthew Deatrick.

Survivors include his parents, Michael and Honorah Deatrick of Canton, MO; grandparents, Dan and Elsie Deatrick of Canton, MO, Neil and Michelle Rice Stewart of Rockford, IL; great grandparents including Ernestene Deatrick of Kahoka, MO; aunts and uncles Nathan (Jenny) Deatrick of Columbus, NC, Levi (Carol) Deatrick of Paxton, IL, Stephen (Jennifer) Deatrick of Kahoka, MO, Naomi (Matthew) Sheilds of Aruba, Daniel (Lara) Deatrick of Aiken, SC, Kegan Stewart of Minneapolis, MN, Kiernan (Jonathan) Bickel of Wanetah, IN, Samuel (Amber) Stewart of Rock Hill, SC, Joseph Stewart of Ft. Leonardwood, MO, and Claire Stewart of Rockford, IL; as well as great aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Lucas; great grandparents: George Deatrick, Clyde and Juanita Tate, Richard Stewart, John Rice, and Jack Stamper; and, cousin, Truly Hope Deatrick.

Services were held Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wayland, MO with Rev. Dan Deatrick officiating. Special music was “Rejoice in the Lord” by Pastor Dan Fox and “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” by David Otte. Congregational hymn was “Count Your Blessings”.

Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the church.

Memorials were suggested to Michael and Honorah Deatrick.

The family was served by Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka.
