Accident In Lewis County Sends Three To Hospital

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 16 year-old Hannibal teen failed to yield to another vehicle at 5:59 p.m. on February 20, 2016, on U.W. Highway 61 and Route V, in Lewis County, which resulted in an accident that totaled the 2012 Dodge Journey, she was driving.  Pinrose was not wearing a safety device.

The vehicle Hannah W. Pinrose was driving westbound, struck the southbound 2005 Ford F150 driven by 33 year-old Jonathan W. Bowe in the driver’s side causing moderate damage to the vehicle and minor injuries to Bowe and a passenger in the vehicle, 36 year-old Robyn C. Schmelzle, both of Perry, Missouri.

Bowe and Schmelzle were both wearing safety devices.  The F150 was driven away from the scene.

Pinrose was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital by private transportation.  Bowe and Schmelzle were transported by Lewis County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

The MSHP was assisted at the scene of the accident by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department and the LaGrange Fire and Rescue Unit and Heartland Towing.
