Georgeann Epperson

Georgeann Epperson, age 86, of Quincy, Illinois, formerly of Ewing, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at 4:05 a.m., in Good Samaritan Home in Quincy.
Georgeann came into this world July 4, 1929 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Archie L. and Iva B. O’Dear Spidle of LaBelle, Missouri. She married Richard Epperson on March 20, 1953 at the First Christian Church in La Belle, Missouri. Together they had two daughters, Carolyn S. (Jack) Ball and Shirley A. Robertson, both of Quincy.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Sarah (Kyle) Littlefield of Greenville, Illinois, David Ball of Chicago, Illinois, and Anna Robertson of Quincy; two great-grandchildren, Kathryn and Samantha Littlefield of Greenville, Illinois; one brother, Stanley Spidle of Brookfield, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. Georgeann was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Richard on November 27, 1993.
For many years Georgeann along side her husband Richard touched many lives as funeral directors at the Ball-Coder Funeral Home in Ewing, Missouri. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, in Ewing, and the Order of the Eastern Star as well as serving as a board member for the Senior Housing in Ewing. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, quilting, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She was also an excellent seamstress, quilter and crafter. She was also known for her crocheted name plaques that many people have hanging in their homes and the clothing she made and altered for friends and family
Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at the LaBelle Cemetery in La Belle, Missouri, with Rev. Steve Disseler officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing, Missouri.
The family suggests memorials be made to Washington University School of Medicine Neurofibromatosis Center.
