RITA KARHOFF BONO

Rita Helen Bono (nee Karhoff), baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection, died Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the age of 85.

Rita was the daughter of Charles William and Pearl Wilhelmina Kassahn Karhoff born in Edina, Missouri, on May 19, 1931, and was employed by AT&T for over 20 years before her retirement in 2003. Her siblings included Leroy, Leon, Lloyd, Lorreto, Lola Mae, Leslie and Leonard.  She was a graduate of St. Joseph  Catholic School Class of 1949.

She is the loving mother of Barbara (Rick) Schlueter, Michael (Eun) Bono, Lisa (Michael Helberg) Swanger and Thomas (Elizabeth) Bono; the loving grandmother of ten, and great-grandmother of five; sister of Lola Klusmeyer; and aunt of Brenton Karhoff, Teresa Mason and Brenda Stansberry of Edina, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at the Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Missouri, on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
