Mark Twain Transmission Project Representatives Request for Assent Denied by Knox Commission FULL VIDEO

This video was recorded by Echo Menges for The Edina Sentinel on Friday morning, September 30, 2016 in the Knox County Commissioners’ Chambers during a meeting with representatives of the Mark Twain Transmission Project (MTTP). This post will be updated with time codes for the video.
Jim Jontry, Project Manager, asked the Commission to grant assent to the project. Several Northeast Missouri residents voiced their concerns and opinions against the project and the Commission voted to deny the assent.
Knox County is the fourth of five stops for MTTP representatives. So far, they have been denied assent in Marion, Adair and Knox Counties, and the Shelby County Commission has chosen to hold off on giving their decision for an undetermined amount of time.
The MTTP representatives will be in Schuyler County next week to make the same request. More information about this meeting will be included in the October 5, 2016 edition of The Edina Sentinel.
