I am an old captain, on a vessel well seasoned…

My crew now gone, for various reasons

I’ve traveled charted waters in the seas of life

And I’ve strayed from the compass,

due to stress and strife

The waters now calm, from years gone by

Tattered sales visible, shredded by journeys tried

Yet the wind still blows, my sails hold the breeze

Billowed out stoutly, cutting waves with ease

I’ve no regrets, nor hold any doubts

God gives me strength, to chart my routes

My faith may be tested, I will not abort

I’ll sail to my harbor, my final dock, God’s port
