Deborah Sue (Davis) Wiewel

Deborah Sue (Davis) Wiewel, age 61, of Wichita, KS passed away at home on January 3, 2019.   She was born October 3, 1957, in Kirksville, MO, the daughter of Donald (Buck) and Ruby Nelson Davis.

Surviving are her husband Paul and son Austin Wiewel of Wichita, KS, one brother Donnie Davis and wife Cindy of Edina, MO, one sister Diane Parton and husband Roger of Edina, MO, mother-in-law Betty Wiewel of Quincy, IL, brother and sister-in-law Kenny and Mary Reichert of Liberty, IL, two nieces, Leah Goodwin and husband James of Kearney, MO, Meagan Davis (Michael Fible) of Jefferson City, MO, two nephews Ryan Parton (Kelsie Sheets) of Oskaloosa, IA and Trever Parton and wife Malea of Smithville, MO, one great nephew Carter Goodwin and two great nieces London Goodwin and Charlotte Parton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents Donald (Buck) and Ruby Nelson Davis, father-in-law Virgil Wiewel, brother and sister-in-law John and Jean O’Brien.

Debbie graduated from Knox County High School in 1975 and John Wood Community College in 1977 with an LPN degree.  She worked as a nurse in Quincy, IL and Phoenix, AZ for several years.  She especially enjoyed working in the Pediatric field.  She quit her nursing job to be a stay at home mom.  She enjoyed being able to chaperone field trips when Austin was in school and attend all of his school functions.

Debbie touched many lives with her kindness and enormous heart.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Reverend Reese Blaine will officiate the services.  Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery.
