Brashear and Novinger Top Seeded In 90th Annual Brashear Tournament

The 90th Annual Brashear Invitational Tournament is scheduled to take place from February 4-9, 2019, Brashear (14-4) drew the top seed in the girls’ bracket. The Lady Tigers drew a bye in a seven team girls field. Defending boys and girls champion Putnam County did not enter the Brashear Tournament this season.
Novinger is the top boys seed. Brashear (7-10) is the boys second seed. Bevier is the boys third seed The Kirksville JV is seeded fourth on the boys’ side. Kirksville plays fifth seeded Higbee at 7:30PM on Monday February 4, 2019.
Atlanta, Marion County and the Canton boys JV round out the field. Brashear plays seven seed Marion County at 4:30PM on Tuesday, February 5 in the boys first round.
Higbee is the girls second seed. Atlanta is seeded third followed by Marion County, Bevier the Kirksville JV and Novinger.
Brashear will play the winner of the Marion County vs. Bevier game at 6PM on Thursday, February 7, 2019 in the girls championship semifinals. If Brashear wins their first round boys game, The Tigers would play on Thursday night at 4:30PM. The Brashear girls game would immediately follow.
Semifinal games are slated for Wednesday and Thursday nights. The girls consolation championship game is scheduled for Friday, February 8, at 4:30PM. The Boys consolation championship game follows at 6PM.
Girls third place is scheduled to be decided on Friday night at 7:30PM. The Boys third place game starts off the Saturday, February 9, 2019 games at 4:30PM.
The 90th Annual Brashear Tournament plays their girls’ championship game at 6PM followed by the boys first place game at 7:30PM.
