Brotherton To Retire As Black Hawk Principal

Julie Brotherton won’t be welcoming students back to Black Hawk Elementary School in August.
On Tuesday, May 28, Brotherton submitted her letter of resignation to Clark County R-1 Superintendent Dr. Ritchie Kracht.

“Julie submitted her letter yesterday with her plan to retire at the end of the month.  She didn’t say what her plans are.  Julie served as an elementary principal the last fifteen years in both Running Fox Elementary and Black Hawk Elementary.  Julie had a passion for working with kids and she put kids first in her decisions.  It is a big loss for the District to lose Julie and her years of experience.  The District is currently taking applications for the principal position.  We have not established a timeline but we do hope to have the position filled by the end of June,” said Kracht.
