LEONARD LOWELL HUFFMAN

Leonard Lowell Huffman, 90, of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Ennis, TX, after a short illness. 

Leonard and his twin brother Bernard were born on February 20, 1929, to Dee and Eva Huffman of Callao, MO. 

He attended Macon High School and served in the US Army.  In 1951 he married Mabel Fern Shoemaker.  They lived most of their married life in Clark County, MO.  

Leonard worked over forty years for the Burlington Northern railroad. 

He loved animals and classical music, especially opera.  After retirement, Leondard and Fern enjoyed traveling the country.

Leonard is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Max Schuster; granddaughter, Carisa Schuster; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Steven and Briana Sprick Schuster; and great-granddaughter, Louisa and Felix Schuster.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Fern; his parents; and his thirteen brothers and sisters.
