LES SADDLER SERVICES NOV. 29, 2019

 

Leslie William “Les” Saddler, 67, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, with his wife and daughter by his side. Les bravely struggled with pulmonary fibrosis the last several months.
He was born on July 15, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Harold and Mary Stice Saddler.
Les grew up in Independence, Missouri where he went to school graduating from William Christman High School in the Class of 1970. Shortly after graduating, he went to work for Lipton and eventually for Smurfit Stone Container, in Kansas City, as a clamp truck driver. Les retired in 2013 due to deteriorating health.
On April 2, 1994, at the Grand River Chapel in Liberty, Missouri, Les married Rose Marie Poston.
He enjoyed may things in life; spending time with family, old classic cars, watching westerns, fishing, deer hunting, camping and was a huge MU basketball fan. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandson, whom he adored and claimed as his pride and joy.
Les is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Saddler of the home in Kansas City, Missouri; his daughter, Kristi Saddler of Independence, Missouri; a step-son, Shane Poston of Baring, Missouri; a grandson, Caden Poston of Baring, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Poston and Carol Parrish both of Baring, Missouri; a brother-in-law, David Poston and his fiancé Stephanie Conn of Baring, Missouri; a nephew, Cole Conn also of Baring, Missouri; three sisters, all of Texas, Linda Lemkin, Lucille and Mike Williams and Loma and Kenny Giblin; and two fur babies Corky and Chloe; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, his father-in-law, Richard Poston and numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019, at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
At his request, cremation will follow the services and interment will be at a later date.
Honorary Bearers will be Tony Snelling, Trevor Snelling, Austin Snelling, Darin Lowe, Mike Tipton, Billy McVay, Travis Hettinger and Ronnie Howe.
