JUANITA LAFERN SCHREIBER

  Juanita LaFern Schreiber, age 48, of Revere, MO, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 in the Great River Medical Center in Burlington, IA.

Juanita was born April 14, 1971 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the daughter of Herman and Mary LaFern Heimer Gipe, Sr.

She was united in marriage to Nathan S. Schreiber on December 19, 1998 in Kahoka.

Survivors include her husband, Nathan, of the home; two sons, Gary Keith Whitaker (Nancy Marshall) of Farmington, IA and Douglas Anthony Schreiber (Sarah Wood) of St. Paul, IA; one daughter, Jessica Ann (Jeremiah) Teeter of Alexandria, MO; four grandchildren: Lily LaFern, Lyla Ann, Lena Lynn and Lyzac Gene Teeter; siblings: Herman Keith “Sonny” (Tammy) Gipe, Jr. of Bonaparte, IA, and John, Martha, and Mary; nephews and nieces and their families: Jeff Gipe of Liberty, IA, Michael Gipe of Fort Dodge, IA, Melissa Sanks of Marion, IA, and Jennifer Hoisington of Manchester, IA; aunt and uncle: Rovene and Forrest Moss of Kahoka, MO; also several cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty.

Juanita was self employed at NASS (National Agriculture Statistical Service) for the past five years.

She formerly raised puppies and thoroughly enjoyed doing that.

Other than her family, she loved riding horses, horse camping, and trail riding with family and extended family.

She loved being out of doors and her job allowed her that luxury.

Her grandchildren were the joy of her life and it was mutual.

She loved spending time with them and they loved everything she shared with them, including making slime!

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Goldie Laymon officiating.  Special music was: “Everything I Do”, “Back Where I Came From”, “Even Though I’m Leaving”, “Holes in the Floor of Heaven” and “Jealous of the Angels”.

Honorary Pallbearers were Brandon Cochenour and Nick Weirather.

Pallbearers were Doug Schreiber, Gary Keith Whitaker, Jeremiah Teeter, Jeff Gipe, Brandon Todd and Michael Gipe.

Burial was in the Revere Cemetery.

Visitation was held at Wilson Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Friday with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials in her honor are for her grandchildren with checks made payable to Nathan Schreiber.
