Swimmer in Distress at Hurdland Sever Lake

Knox County, MO – Tuesday, June 23, 2020 – The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Hurdland Volunteer Fire Department, Knox County Rescue Squad, Knox County Ambulance District and Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded to a “swimmer in distress” call at the Hurdland Sever Lake at 2:09 p.m.
“Prior to the arrival of law enforcement, the male had been removed from the water by others who were present. He was transported by Knox County Ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville,” said MSHP Sgt. Eric Brown.
The incident is under investigation by the MSHP. More information will be released when it becomes available.
