Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested in Edina

The hunt for two Kirksville armed robbery suspects has ended in Edina, Missouri.

On Sunday evening, July 19, Kevin Potter, 31, of Edina was arrested at a residence on East Lafayette Street by the Edina Police Department and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. Potter was transported to the Adair County Detention Center and placed on a 24-hour hold, according to Edina Police Chief Ryan Bishop.

“Potter was taken into custody without incident,” said Chief Ryan Bishop.

Potter has since been formally charged with robbery in the first degree, a Class A felony, a felony count of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, a Class E felony, by Adair County Prosecutor Matt Wilson.

“A second subject was arrested by the Edina Police Department today, transferred to the Adair County Detention Center and placed on a 24-hour hold,” said Bishop. 

The second subject was also taken into custody without incident at an Edina residence on Southwest Morgan Street, according to Bishop.

According to the Adair County Detention Center, Baxter Belt of Edina is in custody on a 24-hour hold.
