VENITA DOREEN SCHUTTE

Mrs. Doreen Schutte, age 85, died July 31, 2020 at 1:30 a.m. at her St. Louis home, surrounded by family.  

Her long fought battle with cancer was over.

She was born on August 14, 1934 near Derrahs in Lewis County, MO, the youngest daughter of Carl and Mary (Brennan) Logsdon.  

She married Dennis F. Schutte February 19, 1955 at the Shrine of St. Patrick.  

He survives.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis; four sons, Michael (Lori) Schutte of Atlanta, GA, Mark (Michelle) Schutte of Columbia, MO, Matthew (Mary) Schutte and Maurice (Jeanne) Schutte both of St. Louis, MO; four daughters, Mary (Mike) Leeper of St. Louis, Margaret (Pat) Willman of Winter Park, CO, Monica (Jeff) Hawkins of St. Louis, and Martina Schutte (Chris Mueller) of St. Louis and daughter-in-law Erin Schutte of St. Charles, IL, sister, Maxine Logsdon Uhlmeyer of St. Patrick, brother-in-law Joseph (Mary) Schutte of Palmyra, five sisters-in-laws; Rita Burn of Springdale, NY, Ruthanna Garrison of St. Louis, Joan (Ted) Rodis of St. Louis, Jane (Jerry) Styczynski of Herman, MO, Hilda Schutte of Macomb, IL, twenty four grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Logsdon, one son, Martin Schutte, one grandson, Thomas Jones, one sister, Emma Jean Rempe and one brother, Seldon Logsdon.

A private family service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Patrick Shrine with Fr. Rob Fields officiating.  

There will be no visitation.  

Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery.

Doreen asked in lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in her memory to Shrine of St. Patrick with Cemetery Upkeep Fund written on memo line of check.
