Lady Hawks Add Irby, Finalize Roster

The Quincy University women’s basketball team has announced the addition of Whintae Irby, a 5-6 guard, finalizing the Lady Hawks roster for the 2007-08 season. Irby joins the Lady Hawks after one season at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

Route U in Scotland County closed for railroad work Wednesday

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway will be replacing track and repairing the crossing on Route U just south of Gorin on Wednesday, July 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Route U will be closed at Route A during the operations; alternate routes should be used during this time.  The roadway will be opened to traffic at the end of the workday.
