MARION TIVY KLOCKE

Marion Tivy Klocke, 69, of Moberly, died Saturday, October 18, 2008 at his home. He had been in failing health.
Mr. Klocke was born March 9, 1939, in Edina, MO, a son of Ralph and Nancy (Ahern) Klocke. He served his country in the US Army, receiving an honorable discharge.
Prior to retirement he was a Junior High Industrial Arts and High School Vo-Tech teacher. He was a member of Lion’s Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, all of Moberly, the Two-Cylinders Club, and First Baptist Church of Moberly. He was an avid collector of antique John Deere tractors and enjoyed fairs and tractor shows.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Joan (Kaufman) Klocke and his father, Ralph Klocke.
Surviving are his daughter, DeeNita Whitely and husband, Pat, of St. Charles, MO; his mother, Nancy Ahern Klocke of Edina, MO; grandchildren, Jacob, Danielle, Michael and Katherine; a sister, Margaret Delaney and husband, Bill, of Edina, MO; special friend, Frieda Barbour of Moberly; five nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
Memorials to Lion’s Eye Bank or The Eagles Benevolent Fund would be appreciated.
Services were held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Cater Funeral Chapel with Interment at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Cater Funeral Home.
