Clark County’s McDaniel Wins State Title in 3,200 Meters, Medals in Three Other Events

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Clark County High School standout Mason McDaniel delivered a stellar performance at the MSHSAA Class 2 State Track and Field Championships, earning three top-10 finishes, including a state title in the boys 3,200-meter run.

McDaniel captured first place in the 3,200 meters with a time of 9:39.67, outpacing the field in a dominant long-distance effort. He also took fourth in the 1,600 meters, clocking in at 4:27.20, and finished ninth in the 800 meters at 2:04.08, marking an impressive showing across three of the meet’s most grueling races.

Clark County’s 4×800-meter relay team of McDaniel, Kai Binsbacher, Austin Day and Quinton Roach also earned state recognition, placing seventh with a time of 8:29.36 in the finals.

In the field events, Brennan Fuller represented Clark County in the long jump, finishing 15th with a leap of 5.81 meters (19 feet, 0.75 inches). Avery Biggerstaff competed in the discus throw but recorded no mark.

Clark County’s lone female qualifier, Ava McKay McKay tied for ninth place on Pole Vault with a final mark of 2.80 meters (9 feet, 2.25 inches), wrapping up her high school career with recognition on the state’s largest high school stage.
