Douglas Disselhors

Douglas Disselhorst of Electra, TX passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 after a battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park, TX on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 1pm with Father Sam Ferix officiating.

He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Maurice and Marie Riney Disselhorst. Being born into a military family, Doug spent his childhood living in various places across the country. When his father retired, they moved to Palmyra, MO to be near family. He graduated from Palmyra High School in 1980 and in the fall of that year, he moved to Iowa Park, TX to start his career at Cryovac/Sealed Air Corp. He retired after 39 years. Family was very important to Doug and he loved being PawPaw to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, and watching old movies, especially classic old westerns.

Doug was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ingram, his father Maurice, his brother Danny Disselhorst, his niece Joleen Disselhorst, and his nephew Patric Kennedy, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Chealsea and husband David Garcia of Frederick, OK, his son JC Ingram of Davidson, OK, his mother Marie and his sister Sheri and husband Pat Kennedy of Iowa Park, TX, his brother David and wife Joyce Disselhorst of Ralls, TX, his grandsons Alec and wife Emily Ward, Hayden and wife Celeste Garcia, Dillian Garcia, and Damian Garcia all of Frederick, OK; his granddaughters Destiny and husband Xavier Harper of Wichita Falls, TX, and Marina and husband Aric Causer of Frederick, OK and his great grandchildren, Payton, Freya, and Zepplin Harper, Rowan and Ellerie Ward, Olivia and Mateo Garcia, and Taitum, Willow, Demetrius, and Hezekiah Causer. He is also survived by nieces Sarah Self of La Grange, KY, Jennifer and her husband Jonathan Loubo of Altrincham, England and Jessica Dudenhoeffer of Amarillo, TX, his nephews Nick and his wife Kaci Kennedy of Holliday, TX and Patrick and wife Lexi Lehman of Green Bay, WI as well as thirteen great nieces and nephews.
