Management Intensive Grazing School Scheduled in Northeast Missouri

The Northeast Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs), USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), University of Missouri Extension, and the Missouri Forage and Grassland Council will host a Management Intensive Grazing School August 25–27, 2026, in Williamstown, MO.

Grazing schools are designed to teach producers, educators and agency personnel the fundamentals of management-intensive grazing through a hands-on approach.  This three-day school provides opportunities for in-depth discussions, field exercises, farm tours, and reference materials covering both livestock and agronomic topics related to grazing.

Producers who attend all sessions may be eligible to participate in SWCD grazing-system cost-share programs. Attendance may also improve a producer’s eligibility for NRCS Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) assistance, which provides financial and technical support for implementing conservation practices.
