Brashear Wild Tigers Down Cardinals

Cade Erwin struck out ten South Shelby batters and drove in two Wild Tiger runs for an 8-1 win over South Shelby (1-4) during the third place game of the April 11, 2026 South Shelby Baseball Tournament.
Brashear scored twice in the first inning. Cole Erwin and Cade Erwin doubled in runs. Koenn Stewart reached on an error then scored on Cole Erwin’s hit. Cade Erwin had a two out RBI hit scoring Cole Erwin for a 2-0 Brashear lead.
Koenn Stewart walked during the Brashear third inning and scored on Cade Erwin’s RBI ground out. Brashear scored in every inning. The Tigers scored three fifth inning runs. Koenn Stewart put Brashear up 8-1 with an RBI ground out.
Corbin Darling reached on a second inning error, plating the lone Cardinal run. Emmett Langhammer led off the inning with a single and scored.
Brashear scored eight runs on three hits. Cade Erwin had a hit and two RBI. Koenn Stewart scored three Wild Tiger runs. Cade Erwin pitched six innings with ten strikeouts, four walks on two hits. The South Shelby run was unearned.
Koenn Stewart pitched the final inning, striking out three with two walks on no runs or hits. South Shelby scored one run on two hits. Peyson Larrick pitched the first three innings with two strikeouts, one walk and three runs on three hits.
Easton Sanders tossed three Cardinal innings with two strikeouts, four walks on no hits. Three of the five runs charged to the South Shelby reliever were earned.
