Schoonover, Oliver Advance to State for Schuyler County

CENTRALIA, Mo. — Schuyler County qualified two athletes for the state track and field meet Saturday, May 16, at the MSHSAA Class 1 Sectional 2 meet at Centralia High School.

Mason Oliver won the boys long jump with a leap of 6.64 meters. Deacon Schoonover advanced in two throwing events, placing second in the discus at 46.23 meters and second in the shot put at 15.75 meters.

The top four finishers in each event advanced to state.
