Sullivan County Recognizes Outstanding Support Staff Members of the Year
SULLIVAN COUNTY, MO — The Sullivan County Education Association is proud to recognize three outstanding individuals as the 2026 Support Staff Members of the Year. One honoree was selected from each local school district— Green City R-1, Milan C-2, and Newtown-Harris— for their exceptional dedication and service.
Support staff members play an important role in the daily success of schools, helping create positive, safe, and welcoming environments for students, staff, and families. These individuals were selected for their hard work, commitment, and the meaningful impact they make within their school communities each day.
The Sullivan County Education Association is made up of local superintendents and community members from the Green City R-1, Milan C-2, and Newtown-Harris school districts. The Association is dedicated to supporting and strengthening education across the county. As part of this recognition, each Support Staff Member of the Year awardee received a cash award provided by the Association.
This year’s honorees are Lindsay Moore of Green City R-1, who was presented the award by Sullivan County Education Association member Pam Carte; Miriam Gonzalez of Milan C-2, who was presented the award by Association member Brittani Maulsby; and Lori Tucker of Newtown-Harris, who received her award from Association member Melba Fordyce.
To continue funding these awards and supporting local educators, the Association will host a fundraising golf tournament on Saturday, July 25th at the Sullivan County Country Club. Community members are encouraged to participate, sponsor, or donate to help honor and uplift the educators and staff members who make a difference every day.
Anyone interested in donating to the Sullivan County Education Association or supporting the golf tournament can contact any of the Sullivan County school districts for more information.
Congratulations to the 2026 Sullivan County Support Staff Members of the Year! Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed and are deeply appreciated.
