Your Local Library Is Not Just About Getting A Book Anymore!

The Schuyler County Library now offers something for everyone. It has become a gathering place for all ages in the community to expand their horizons.

Once a month it transforms into a play place for “Toddler Time” where children between the ages of 2 and 5 interact in a learning environment with games and other children.

For adults there are lots of options. Looking to moderate exercise? Come check out the “Movin’ and Groovin” with Karen” on Tuesday and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.

Want Bingo, they have it every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

Want to learn to play an instrument, join the Ukulele group on Mondays at 1:30 p.m.

Interested in local history? The “Round Table History Talk” on the third Friday of each month where they focus on local history and stories of the good old days in the area.

The Schuyler County Library is still your traditional library with all the books but are you looking for more? Want to read and discuss books? Connect with one of the Book Clubs

The adult book club meets the last Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. There is also a “Clean Read” book club which focuses on wholesome or historic materials on the first. Saturday of every month at 10:00 a.m. For young readers (or the young at heart), “Little Book Worm” book club meets on the first Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. which features books appropriate for ages 8-12.
