Lucille Adelle Maurine (Barnes) Ford, 99, of Palmyra, MO, formerly of White Hall, IL, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Maple Lawn Nursing
Home in Palmyra, MO.
Maurine was born February 13, 1927, in East Alton, IL, to Allen T. Barnes and Reva Viola (Painter Barnes) Murphy. She married David F. Ford, on June 12, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1988. They had three
children Mary S. (Dale) Elenberger, Milly (Paul) Blake of Roodhouse, IL
and David Paul Ford (deceased). They also helped to raise their niece and nephew Carrol Ronald (Ronnie) Ford (deceased) and Ruth Jean Ford (deceased).
She is survived by her grandchildren Annie (Todd) Emme of Palmyra, MO, David (Melissa) Matrisch of Palmyra, MO, Peter (John Jester) Cody of St. Louis, MO; great-grandchildren Alexis Emme, Victoria Matrisch, and Nathan Matrisch; step-grandchildren Vicki McGee, Carisa (Brennan) Davidson, Jenny (Corey) Dixon, Liz (Mike) Mathews, Adam (Chassity) Blake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her step-father William Murphy; and a son-in-law Charles Cody.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Mackey Daws Funeral Home in Roodhouse,
IL. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in
Pine Tree Cemetery in Patterson, IL.
