Lee (Ball) Simbro, 69 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026 surrounded by her loving husband, daughters and sister.
The daughter of William Doyle Ball Sr. and Dorothy Ann Brown, she was born on May 15, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a 1978 graduate of Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. On June 18, 1977 in Glenwood, Missouri, Virginia was united in marriage to Billy Dale Simbro and to this union four daughters were born, Susan, Kelley, Tiffany and Lindsey.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Billy of Lancaster, Missouri; her daughters, Susan Applegate and husband, Josh of Queen City, Missouri, Kelley Jackson and husband, Caleb of Bloomfield, Iowa, Tiffany Panos and husband, Stikie of Bloomfield, Iowa and Lindsey Heath and husband, Scott of Lewisburg, Kentucky; 13 grandchildren, Alexia Jackson, Mia Jackson, Marisa Jackson, Alyvia Applegate, Regan Panos, Asher Applegate, Lily Jackson, Rylynn Panos, Regas Panos, Henry Heath, Reese Panos, Rydley Panos, and Silas Heath; one great grandchild, Everly Carroll; several brothers and sisters including a special sister, Christy Maupin and husband, Jimmy of Sullivan, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other family members and many special friends.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and her mother and father-in-law, Rusty and Billye Simbro.
Virginia was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri. She was the craft leader for JAM every Wednesday evening. Virginia was a daycare provider for many families in the area for a number of years. She provided a nourishing environment for growth, health and good conditions to each and every child that walked through her home. Virginia found great comfort in the verses 2 Corinthians 4:8-12 and also “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.”
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri with Brad Drummond officiating and Dean Avery reading the obituary. Music will be special selections of “Good Grief” and “Remember When.” Pallbearers will be Asher Applegate, Regas Panos, Josh Applegate, Caleb Jackson, Stikie Panos, Scott Heath, Jordan Martin and Kevin Buckallew. Honorary pallbearers will be Alexia Jackson, Henry Heath, Silas Heath, Sonny Smyser, Junior Buckallew and Jimmy Maupin. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the family with checks made payable to Billy Simbro.
