MINNIE PAULINE CONE

   Minnie Pauline Cone, 97, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Memphis, Missouri, passed away Saturday evening, July 28 2007 at the Bluffs Retirement Center in Columbia, Missouri.

   The daughter of John H. and Nancy Elizabeth Myers Ahlrichs, she was born on March 5, 1910 in Scotland County, Missouri. She married Connie W. Cone on July 5, 1939 and to this union three daughters were born: Joanne, Kay, and Jeanie.

   Minnie and husband, Connie, farmed for many years in Scotland County. They retired to Kirksville, MO where they lived until Connie’s death in 1968. She then moved to Columbia, MO to be near family. She loved to quilt, volunteered to play cards and games with her family and friends and do many crafts.

   Minnie is survived by her three daughters; Joanne (Richard) Adams of Columbia, MO, Kay Severson (Phil) Decker of Clear Lake Shores, TX., and Jeanie (Denny) Atteberry of St. Peters, MO., five grandchildren; Ryan (Donna) Adams and Kurt Adams of Columbia, Geni Severson of Florissant, MO., Eric (Lori) Severson of Houston, TX., and Dru Atteberry of St. Peters, MO.; four great grandchildren: Kendahl and Kahleh Adams of Columbia, MO. and Morgan and Paige Severson of Houston, TX., as well as several nieces and nephews.

   She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Connie, and four sisters; Edna Eller, Edith Goldstein, Mary Briggs, and Ann Tuman.

   Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis, MO., with Pastor Dan Hite officiating. Pallbearers were Ryan Adams, Kurt Adams, Eric Severson, Dru Atteberry, Gary Briggs, and Richard Briggs. Interment was in the Memphis Cemetery.

   Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Memphis or an organization of the donor’s choice. And can be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison, Street, Memphis, MO. 63555.

   Arrangements were handled by the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO.
