Hawks Soccer Picked Eighth In GLVC Preseason Poll

(Quincy, Ill.) The Quincy University men’s soccer team has been picked to finish eighth in the 2007 Great Lakes Valley Conference Preseason Poll. The Hawks received 81 total votes.

Quincy finished last year 5-9-3 overall and 5-6-2 in the GLVC, finishing tied for 10th place. The Hawks return nine starters from last year’s squad.

SIU-Edwardsville is picked to win their second consecutive title, receiving 149 total points and six first place votes. Northern Kentucky was chosen second, followed by Wisconsin-Parkside, Rockhurst, Lewis, Indianapolis and Drury. Following the Hawks, beginning with No. 9, are Missouri-St. Louis, Bellarmine, Missouri-Rolla, Southern Indiana, Saint Joseph’s and Kentucky Wesleyan.
