SHERRY A. GORE-SIMPSON

Sherry Ann Gore-Simpson, 58, of Kirksville, Missouri died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri. She was born September 25, 1949 at Denison, Iowa to Harold Dale and Beverly Jean Habenicht Gore.
Sherry was disabled and was one of the first students to attend Special Education Class when originated in Florida. She also attended special schools in Iowa.
Sherry has been a very active person; always ready to play games with her nieces and nephews. She loved the outdoors and playing with puppies. She always enjoyed her family. She was truly, one of God’s special people.
When her health failed she was a resident in several care centers.
Her last home was the Twin Pines Adult Care Center at Kirksville, Missouri. When able, she attended the Assembly of God Church and later the Baptist Church.
She is survived by her parents of Memphis and two sisters; Tanya Helene Chowning and husband, James, of Baring, Missouri and Marcia Kay Ostrom and husband, David, of Omaha, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and two brothers: Robert Lee Gore and Randy Scott Gore.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Memphis Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Hite officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Scotland County, Missouri.
Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Friday, June 6, 2008 at the funeral home.
As an expression of sympathy a memorial may be given to the family.
