JOB FAIR TO BE HELD JULY 29 AT JOHN WOOD COMMUNITY COLLEGE
More than 20 area employers and will be accepting job applications during a Job Fair on Tuesday, July 29, at John Wood Community College, 1301 S. 48th Street. The event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the lower level of the Heath Center, is free and open to the public.
Participating employers include: AFLAC, Blessing Hospital, Chaddock, County Market, Homeway Homes, Huck Group, Inc., Industrial Workforce, Influent, Illinois Department of Human Services (Springfield, IL), The Knapheide Manufacturing Company, Manchester Tank, Manpower, Mark Twain Casino (LaGrange, MO), McDonough District Hospital (Macomb, IL), Members First Community Credit Union, Quincy Workforce Service Center, Sam’s Club, Snelling Personnel, Timber Point Healthcare Center (Camp Point IL), Vatterott College, Winters Insurance, Wither’s Broadcasting (Keokuk, IA), and the Workforce Investment Act Office. Another booth will offer information on volunteer opportunities in the area.
Layoffs at several area companies prompted the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce, Quincy Herald-Whig newspaper, Quincy Workforce Service Center and John Wood Community College to organize the fair. For information contact the Chamber at 217-222-7980.
