Knox County Hosts Baseball District

Salisbury was seeded first for the MSHSAA Class 2, District 15 baseball tournament at Knox County. The Eagles were seeded sixth and challenge conference rival Milan on Monday, May 18 at 7:30PM in first round action.
Carrolton won the Class 2 Westran district last season by an 8-1 margin over South Shelby. Carrolton was second seeded and takes on seventh seeded Putnam County at 5:30 PM. All three first round games are slated for Monday, May 18.
Fourth seeded Westran and fifth seeded Schuyler County begin district play at 3:30PM. Semi-final action is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19.
The winner of the Westran vs. Schuyler County game plays Salisbury at 4:30PM. The Carrolton vs. Putnam County victor takes on the winner of the Knox County vs. Milan first round contest at 6:30PM concluding the semi-final round.
The District 15 championship game is slated for Thursday, May 21 at 5PM. Baseball sectional and quarterfinal contests are hosted by one of the participating schools similar to football.
Odd numbered district winners host Sectional baseball in odd numbered years. The winner of District 15 will play the winner of District 16 on May 25 in Sectional action.
Quarterfinal games are slated for May 27. The Class 2 baseball semi-finals and championship games will be played June 3-4 at Springfield.
