LaPlata Wins Atlanta Softball Tournament

   LaPlata defeated Schuyler County by an 8-7
final score in the championship game of the 2009 Atlanta varsity softball
tournament.

    Brashear (2-2) downed Atlanta by an 11-0
final score, capturing the consolation or third place award. Schuyler County
advanced to the title game with a 5-0 win over Atlanta.

   The Lady Bulldogs bested Brashear 13-3 in
semi final action. Schuyler County sent Novinger to the consolation bracket
with a 7-5 triumph.

 Brashear eliminated Novinger from trophy
consideration with a 5-4 victory.
