Clark County Boys Win Indian Relays
The Clark County Indian boys track team edged Putnam County to claim victory at the Indian Relays, held Wednesday, April 21 in Kahoka. The Indians scored 93 points, topping Putnam’s 91.5. Scotland County scored 70.5, Palmyra had 61 and Canton scored 23 points.
Jacob McAfee won the Shot Put for Clark County, and Derek Ryan placed fourth. In the Triple Jump, Justin Alderton took second place, and Jonathan Howren captured fifth place.
Brandon Bourgeois took second in discus for the Indians.
Clark County claimed victory in the 4×800 relay.
In the 100M, and Trevor Ray placed second. Andrew Daw won the 1600M race. Clark County took sixth in the 400M dash
Jonathan Howren placed first in the 300M Hurdles with a 48.26 time, and Jeremy Logsdon won the 200M run with a time of 26.0. Andrew Daw won the3200M in a time of 11:34.5
On the girls’ side, the Lady Indians placed fourth with 50 points. Palmyra won with 92.5 points. Scotland County took second with 63, and West Hancock earned 60.5 points for third place. Putnam County was fifth with 48 points, and Canton was sixth with 23 points.
Abi Gray placed third in the Long Jump. Morgan Streit placed fourth in the 800M run, and Jillian Wilson took sixth.
The Lady Indians’ 4×800 team placed third.
Stephanie Johnson placed sixth in the 1600M. Morgan Streit placed third in the 3200M run.
Chelsea Edmondson took fourth in Shot Put, and the Lady Indians took third in the 4×400.
