Grace M. McGinnis

Grace M. McGinnis, 87, of 1512 Curtis Creek, died at 4:53 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, in Blessing Hospital.

Grace was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Hurdland, Mo., a daughter of Cecil Eli and Elnora Rose Clair Funk. She married Robert William McGinnis on Sept. 10, 1949, in Edina, Mo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2001.

Grace was a graduate of Quincy High School and Gem City Business College. She worked as a secretary at Harris Broadcast for 25 years. Grace was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include three sons, Kent (Mary Lou) McGinnis of Quincy, Mark (Leianne) McGinnis of Little Rock, Ark., and Kevin (Debbie) McGinnis of Quincy; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Robert) Quintos of Glen Ellyn, Jennifer (Logan) Hughes of Zionsville, Ind., Melissa Foltz of Quincy, Angela (Lucas) Frageman of Quincy, Brittaini McGinnis of Scottsdale, Ariz., Brandon McGinnis of Las Vegas, Nev., Amy McGinnis of Little Rock, Ark., and Zack McGinnis of Little Rock, Ark.; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Delbert (Sharla) Funk of De Soto, Ill.

In addition to her husband, Grace was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lucille Allen.

Funeral services 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Calvary Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Disseler conducting.
