Marjorie Helen Foglesong

   Marjorie Helen Foglesong, 80, of Kahoka, MO, died Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital in Ft. Madison, IA.

   She was born February 4, 1934 in Knox County, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd E. and Elizabeth Stephan Eoff. On June 18, 1950 she was united in marriage to Harold Foglesong in Memphis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2007.

   She graduated from Knox County High School in Gorin, Missouri with the Class of 1951.

Marjorie was a loving and devoted wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. She was always there for those who needed advice, a helping hand, or a hug. She instilled the importance of family to her children and grandchildren. She was considered by many to be their “adopted” mom or grandma.

   Marjorie was articulate and gifted in putting her thoughts to prose. She often wrote poems to express her feelings and help others to deal with life’s journey. Above all else, she loved and served the Lord and strove to show her children the path of truth and instill those values.

She is survived by her two sons; Michael Foglesong and his wife Mildred of Kahoka, MO, Warren Foglesong of Hannibal, MO, four daughters; Marlene Lemaster Wilson and her husband Edgar of Alton, MO, Sharon O’Donnell of Keokuk, IA, Deanna Markey of Keokuk, IA, Bonnie Foglesong of Wayland, MO, ten grandchildren; Angela (Foglesong) Cook and her husband Mickie, Anita (Foglesong) Taylor and her husband Jack, Brandon Lemaster and his wife Sara, Nathan Lemaster, Cari (O’Donnell) Bonifas and her husband Brett, Casey O’Donnell, Wendy (Foglesong) Monical and her husband Rob, Chad Ewing and his wife Krystal, Jason Ewing, Nicholas Markey, two step grandchildren, Audrey Purcell and her husband Amos and John Wilson and his wife Jenny, fifteen great grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren and four sisters in law; Anna Page, Lena Mae Carroll, Dorothy Foglesong and Mary Eoff, and a brother in law, Fred Webster, along with many nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren; Jessica Lemaster and Toby Foglesong, her son-in-law Roger Lemaster and daughter-in-law, Cindy Foglesong, three brothers, Glenn Eoff, Charles Eoff, and Donald Ray Eoff, three sisters, Norma Eoff, Betty Webster and Emma Lou Williams, five brothers in law: Claude, Clyde, and Olin Foglesong, Fred Page and Edwin Williams and three sisters in law; Helen Taylor, Hazel Blum and Mary Foglesong.

   Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, July 14th, 2014 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with George Peterson, Jon Knockenmus and Arlene Lezweski officiating. Burial was in the Chambersburg Cemetery in rural Kahoka.

   Memorials may be made to the Masonic Children’s Hospital, the Wolfner Library for the Blind or Handicapped, Jefferson City, MO, Chambersburg Cemetery, or Macular Degeneration Research.
