Safe Stop & KCHN Trick-Or-Treat In Edina on Halloween

The Knox County Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Safe Stop Trick-Or-Treat this Halloween, which will be on Friday, October 31, 2014. The event will take place at the Knox County Community Center, as it has for the last two years, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Following Safe Stop the community center will be showing Disney Pixar “Monster University,” which will begin immediately following Safe Stop.
Those wishing to participate and hand out candy or other “treats” during the Safe Stop event may do so by showing up early and setting up a table. Set up will begin at 3:00 p.m. Everyone (businesses, organizations, individuals) is welcome to come had out “treats” during the event. Participants are welcome to bring table decorations and costume up for the occasion, which adds to the festivities, but isn’t a requirement.
The Safe Stop event has steadily grown over the past several years as it has attracted more and more children. Last year approximately 280 children visited the event so this year the chamber of commerce is asking those planning on handing out “treats” to plan for approximately 300 trick-or-treaters.
Another place to trick-or-treat in Edina on Halloween is the Knox County Nursing Home. Children will be welcomed to trick-or-treat at KCNH between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
