Diana M. Florea

Diana FloreaDiana Marie Florea, 72, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Saturday, January 24th, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Born in Lundy’s Lane, Pennsylvania, on October 7, 1942, Diana was the daughter of the late Mildred (Deter) and William Bellin.

Diana served in the U.S. Navy where she met her husband, George Florea and they were married on February 16, 1962 in San Diego, California. She spent her working years as a bookkeeper.

Diana was a member of the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband George Florea of the home; one son, Joey Florea of Iowa; three brothers, William, Clint and Robert Bellin; one sister, Andrea Plummer; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Amber Schuler; relatives from the area include: two sisters-in-law, Mary Esther Steffen Florea of Palmyra, Missouri, and Lillie Florea (Wendell) Kurtz of Edina, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Leonard Florea of LaBelle, Missouri; nieces, Emilie Florea Rumble of LaBelle, Paula Florea (Francis) Esposito of Columbia, Tennessee, Judith Stice (Meb) Wollbrink of Quincy; nephews, Charles W. (Linda) Florea of Durham, Missouri, and Chester (Leanne) Florea, of Monroe City, Missouri, Timothy C. (Wanda) Florea of Iowa, Kenneth (Carolyn) Stice of Canton, Missouri, Gene (Mary) Stice of Quincy; cousins, Rose (Karen) Stone of Edina, Howard (Donna) Florea of Hurdland, Delmar (Reba) Florea of Kahoka, and Bonnie Bilyew of Springfield, Missouri, Ricky (Phyllis) Florea and Peggy (Myron) Blaine, all of Hannibal, Missouri, Mary K. (Kenneth) Shugart of Bourbonais, Illinois and Ruby (Jay) Leftwich of Durham, Missouri.

A son, John Florea preceded his mother in death.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church, 600 West Church, 600 W. Church St., 600 W. Church St.,Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
