Dr. Randy Tobler Appointed CEO at Scotland County Hospital

MEMPHIS, MO – The Scotland County Hospital board of directors recently appointed Randall W. Tobler, MD, FACOG, permanent CEO of the organization in Memphis, MO. The appointment was made at the hospital’s board of directors meeting on February 26, 2015. Dr. Tobler has served as the hospital’s Interim CEO since August 2014.

“The board had no reservations about putting Dr. Tobler in the CEO seat,” said Board Chairman, Curtis Ebeling. “The appointment was based on his superb job performance during his interim as acting CEO. We are very fortunate to have a physician executive with his knowledge, experience and skills as our leader at Scotland County Hospital & Clinics.”

Dr. Tobler is board certified in obstetrics & gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He and his family moved from St. Louis to Scotland County over nine years ago, where he had a private practice. He has built a strong OB/GYN practice at Scotland County Hospital & Clinics. Along with his new position, Dr. Tobler will continue to serve & oversee the OB/GYN services at Memphis Medical Services and Lancaster Medical Services and serve as Medical Director of the OB/GYN Department at the hospital. Chairman Ebeling said, “He made every effort to go out and connect with the community when he first came to town. He has a very open and welcoming personality and I think that is important for our CEO to connect with the community and to be approachable.”

His knowledge of the local and regional medical community and market will be a major asset in helping to lead the hospital & clinics at a time of major transformation and opportunity,” said Julia McNabb, DO, Chief of Staff at Scotland County Hospital & Clinics. “The medical staff is delighted that Dr. Tobler is taking on this new role in a permanent capacity. Working together, we will continue the legacy of service this hospital has established and find even greater ways to bring excellence to our patients and the community.”

Dr. Tobler completed his entire medical training at Washington University and Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was in private practice, serving five hospitals in the St. Louis area, before making the move to Scotland County in 2006. He was named one of St. Louis’ “Medical Marvels” by St. Louis Magazine and he has been elected by his peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America® from 1996 to 2014. Dr. Tobler and his wife, Dr. Heliene Tobler, are both natives of St. Louis and now reside in the Bible Grove area. They have three grown children. Drs.
