Summer School Students Enjoy “Farm Day”-Photo Gallery and Video

“It’s like a field trip, but everyone came to us,” said Clark County R-1 Summer School director Katrina Nixon.
On Thursday, June 4, the 220 or so students attending summer school at Black Hawk got the opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of farm animals and farm equipment. Displays included equipment from IMI Equipment and Prairieland FS. The Clark County FFA members brought some animals, and the Clark County office of the University of Missouri Extension provided healthy treats and nutrition information.
Students traveled in groups from activity to activity, explored some of the farm equipment, and learned more about farming.
