Jefferson City, Mo. — Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander today reminded Missourians the voter registration deadline for the March 15 Presidential Preference Primary is tomorrow, February 17. Missourians can visit www.GoVoteMissouri.com for more information.
“As Missouri’s secretary of state, one of my jobs is to make sure every single eligible voter has the opportunity to cast a ballot,” Kander said. “The first step for eligible voters is to make sure they are registered to vote and that their registration address is up to date.”
In 2013, Kander made Missouri the 16th state in the country that allows eligible voters to complete their voter registration forms, including change of address forms, online. Eligible Missourians may also register to vote in person at their local election authority’s office, any Department of Motor Vehicles office or state agency that provides services to the public. Mailed voter registration forms must be post-marked by February 17, and submissions completed online at www.GoVoteMissouri.com must be received by 5 p.m. on February 17.
Missourians must be 18 years of age by Election Day, a U.S. citizen and a Missouri resident to be eligible to register. For additional information about voting in Missouri, visit www.GoVoteMissouri.com.
